Materials Development for English Language Teaching
Materials and tasks play a huge role in the teaching process, and this course details the ways in which these vital learning tools can be adapted and used. Much of the information learned in other courses will be enhanced during this one, particularly when it comes to SLA (Second Language Association), task based instruction and curriculum design.
This is, for the most part, a hands-on course. Any theory learned will be put into practice in workshops, where individuals can learn from and evaluate the work of others. Students will also need to work outside of the classroom to develop their assignments and study important literature.
